Let there be Light 2017: No 20

American football coach Lou Holtz said ‘The problem with having a sense of humour is often that people you use it on aren't in a very good mood.'

There are of course good and bad times but our mood changes more often than our fortunes and we all sense and dance around the moods of others. It is generally harder to spot our own mood swings.

Do you dress and behave to reflect your mood or to change your mood? I've found (not personally) that something as simple as the application of lipstick or perfume can make a big difference. Music and moving do it for me.

When you wake up in a bad mood or spot yourself inside one, why stay in it?….turn off the news, go for a walk, put on some music, sing or even dance. Do whatever it takes to get back the opportunity to enjoy this moment and the next because neither will be coming back soon.

Not always easy to do, but worth trying don't you think?
